Manchester United's inability to sell players has forced Amorim to compromise, stating that the "Five Rats" can stay! This is just to avoid being heavily undervalued.

Ruben Amorim has excluded Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia from first-team training, making it clear that they will be sold. However, this setup has left the club at a disadvantage in selling, as potential buyers aim to negotiate lower prices. At present, only Rashford has been loaned out to Barcelona for free, without any mandatory buyout clause, which means he might come back next year. In light of this, Amorim has had to publicly state that the "Bomb Squad" can also remain.

However, Amorim's statement does not reflect his desire to keep these players; he openly admitted during his remarks that he simply "doesn't want to be blackmailed." This situation is reminiscent of last season's story between Ten Hag and Sancho, where the Dutchman, who initially insisted on an apology from the player, was forced to pretend to reconcile and included him in the matchday squad, ultimately leading to "Big Joe" being loaned to Chelsea.

Amorim's relationship with Garnacho has already deteriorated, but he does not have sharp conflicts with Sancho, Antony, and Malacia. Keeping these players is not a major issue; it merely results in wasted wages. They are also not participating in full team training, so their presence in the squad might have limited impact.

Amorim stated in the U.S.: "I know for sure that the club has a price for those players, and if other clubs' offers do not meet that figure, there is no doubt they will remain Manchester United players. I understand that these clubs may wait until the last moment to make an offer, but if they do so, they will face unexpected results."

Regarding his relationship with these discarded Manchester United players, Amorim said: "The situations of these players vary; some of them need to find a new club to get more playing time, while others clearly indicate they want a new challenge by joining a different team. We are just giving these players time to think and make a decision. However, if it comes to the point where they must join my team, they will, because they are Manchester United players, and I am ready to accept them. If that happens and they return to our squad, they will face more competition."

Amorim insists that players will not slack off: "If they want to participate in the World Cup after this season, they need to play. So I am pleased because I will have more options. If they compete against each other for playing time, I will be proud of that."

However, after spending £130 million on signing Cunha and Mbemo, Manchester United will have no funds to bring in more new players, such as a striker, if they do not sell players. Amorim claims he has many options in attack and does not mind starting the new season with the current squad. However, he also admits that the team may face difficulties (We are going to suffer).

He said: "I think the club must be very cautious when signing a player right now. So if we have to start the new season with the current squad, I would be satisfied. Because every player here wants to stay, and that is the most important thing for me. If we start the new season with this squad, I would be happy. They will certainly face challenges, but that sense of unity is really important. The spirit is positive."

The Manchester United head coach expressed satisfaction with the summer signings: "I am really happy. Signing new players as soon as possible is very important; sometimes it's not possible, but I am truly satisfied. Because both of them have already proven themselves in the Premier League, which is very important. Matheus (Cunha) can play in different positions, so I can have more flexibility to change the starting lineup, which makes me really happy."

Manchester United's CEO, Omar Berrada, and sporting director, Jason Wilcox, were both present during the U.S. tour, indicating that the Red Devils are unlikely to complete any new transfers in the short term.
