World University Games Medal Table: The United States leads with 28 golds, while China has secured 23 golds, and the women's basketball team triumphed over the USA to win the championship.

On July 26, Beijing time, the World University Games continued, and after a day of intense competition, the latest medal standings have seen some changes. The United States remains in first place with 28 golds, closely followed by China with 23 golds in second place, Japan in third with 22 golds, South Korea in fourth with 17 golds, and Italy in fifth with 10 golds!

The U.S. team has turned around its previous poor performance in the Universiade, showing significant focus this time around. They have launched into a gold medal frenzy, already achieving 28 golds and on the verge of breaking the 30-gold barrier, which far exceeds the single gold from the last Universiade. This progress is remarkable, and the main reason for such improvement is the exceptional athletes they sent this time. This result has put considerable pressure on China, which is currently trailing by 5 golds, making their lead in first place relatively secure for now!

In contrast, the Chinese contingent has shown a clear decline in this event, facing setbacks in many competitions and not maintaining the gold-winning momentum seen in the previous edition.
