Liverpool fans, alongside their former forward and manager Kenny Dalglish, paid tribute to Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva before a pre-season friendly against AC Milan in Hong Kong on Saturday.

Before the match began, fans held up a mosaic featuring "DJ 20," and Dalglish placed a wreath in memory of the former Liverpool forward Jota, who tragically passed away along with his brother in a car accident in Spain earlier this month.

The Liverpool players donned "Diogo J 20" patches on their jerseys and wore black armbands. AC Milan winger Rafael Leao honored his Portugal teammate by forming a "2" and "0" sign with his fingers after netting an early goal in the Italian team's 4-2 victory.

Liverpool supporter Zoe Leung and her family created a sign in memory of Jota.

"I believe Jota's passing is tragic, and I was truly shocked when I saw the news. My family and I made this to show our respect for Jota," the 24-year-old Leung stated.

Liverpool players will sport a "Forever 20" emblem on their jerseys during the upcoming Premier League season. Supporters can have "Diogo J. 20" printed on shirts in club stores, with the proceeds benefiting the LFC Foundation, the club's official charity.

Liverpool fans significantly outnumbered AC Milan supporters at the 50,000-capacity Kai Tak Stadium, many bringing signs, scarves, flags, and banners to support their team.

Liverpool will next travel to Japan to face Yokohama FM in the J League World Challenge on Wednesday. They will begin their Premier League title defense at home against Bournemouth on August 15.
