Amorim is very pleased with Manchester United's training! Onana is worried about losing his place and is training hard, while Lima's return date is tentatively set.

Manchester United still has several players injured, the most serious being Argentine defender Lisandro Martinez, who has been sidelined for months after surgery. According to the Manchester Evening News, Lima has resumed light training.

Lima injured his left knee's anterior cruciate ligament during the Premier League match against Crystal Palace on February 2 and underwent surgery for repair. He is currently with the team in the U.S. for training but can only do rehabilitation exercises individually. The 27-year-old player practices running and shooting alone at the Endoworth Health Performance Center in Chicago, but he is not yet ready to return to competitive training.

According to British media reports, Lima aims to return after the international break in September, closer to October. The home match against Chelsea may not be suitable for a player returning from a long absence, while the game against Brentford on September 27 might be more likely.

Goalkeeper André Onana and striker Joshua Zirkzee are also recovering from injuries and have returned to training on the field. Zirkzee sustained a minor injury at the start of preseason training, which prevented him from participating in Manchester United's matches against Leeds United, West Ham United, and Bournemouth. The 24-year-old Dutch striker was also injured just before the Europa League final against Spurs last season, but the injury that kept him from training was a different one he sustained two weeks ago.

"I have a minor injury right now, but I should recover quickly," Zirkzee explained. "I have great physiotherapists helping me every day, and it's not a serious issue. It's just preseason; it's not like the end of last season. I hope to return for the final, and my goal is clearly to be fit for the start of the season."

A source revealed that Onana, who strained his hamstring during training last month, has been "working hard" on non-contact training. It’s understandable that Onana is anxious, as there have been rumors that Manchester United might sign a new goalkeeper, which could mean a crisis for him at any moment.

It is reported that Onana is expected to return for Manchester United's final preseason friendly against Fiorentina on August 9, which will take place at Old Trafford, just eight days before the Premier League opener against Arsenal. If Onana cannot play, he may miss the first round of the league.

Interestingly, Fiorentina's opponent in that match, Manchester United, features former number one David De Gea as their main goalkeeper! Before returning to the Theatre of Dreams after two years away, the 34-year-old Spanish keeper told his 15.6 million fans, "Preparation is underway."

Fiorentina is currently conducting preseason training in England, and De Gea shared photos of himself training with teammates at St. George's Park in England. "Back to familiar grounds," De Gea wrote, while former teammates Bruno Fernandes, Rashford, and Diogo Dalot all liked his post.

The Sun reports that Amorim is very impressed with the dedication of Manchester United players during their summer training, to the extent that he canceled the originally scheduled twice-daily training sessions. The Red Devils' head coach believes that the morning training is sufficient, and the players' fitness has reached a high level, allowing them to rest for most of the afternoon. He thinks that the extra free time gives players a chance to strengthen their internal relationships.
