The latest medal standings of the Swimming World Championships: China leads with 15 golds, Australia is second, and the USA ranks third.

On August 3, 2025, the Swimming World Championships in Singapore continued, and with the conclusion of the final competition day, 9 gold medals were awarded. The final medal tally has been released: China secured first place with 15 golds and a total of 37 medals, Australia locked in second with 13 golds, and the USA ranked third with 10 golds, while the neutral team from Russia finished fourth with 6 golds!

The Chinese team had already clinched 15 golds before the last competition day, essentially ensuring their top position in the medal standings. We were quite confident about winning the men's 10-meter platform gold, but to our surprise, despite sending out a double insurance strategy, neither athlete managed to secure a medal, resulting in a major upset. Consequently, the Chinese diving team won 9 golds out of 13 events, losing 4 golds, which is quite disappointing. In swimming, we achieved 2 silvers and 2 bronzes on the final day: a silver in the women's 50-meter breaststroke, and silvers and bronzes in the women's 50-meter freestyle. Overall, we finished the swimming events with 2 golds, 6 silvers, and 6 bronzes, securing the top spot in the medal table with 15 golds and 37 total medals, the majority of which came from diving and synchronized swimming!

Australia made a significant splash on the final competition day, winning 2 golds: one in the women's 50-meter freestyle and another in the men's 10-meter diving, which was notably taken from the Chinese Dream Team, highlighting its value. Thus, Australia secured second place with 13 golds, the majority of which were earned in swimming, establishing themselves as a powerhouse in the sport!

The USA struggled to compete for golds in swimming throughout the championships, consistently being overshadowed by China and Australia. However, on the final day, the USA broke the world record to win gold in the women's 4×100-meter medley relay, making a remarkable achievement. With this, the USA finished with 10 golds, achieving a perfect score and ending the championships in third place, which is quite rare. Of the 10 golds, 9 were from swimming, making them the top nation in individual events!

Other delegations saw notable performances as well: French star Marchand won gold in the men's 400-meter medley, contributing to France's fourth gold. Lithuanian athlete Meilutyte claimed gold in the women's 50-meter breaststroke, marking her country's first gold of the event. Canadian star McIntosh excelled again, winning gold in the women's 400-meter medley, helping Canada secure their fourth gold. Meanwhile, the neutral team from Russia surged on the final day, winning gold in the men's 4×100 medley relay and the men's 50-meter backstroke, clinching 2 golds to rise to fourth place, while Tunisia took gold in the men's 1500-meter freestyle, achieving their second gold of the event!
