The latest medal tally for the Chengdu World Games: Germany leads with 8 golds, China in third, and the Latin dance judge has gone viral.

On August 10, 2025, the second competition day of the Chengdu World Games concluded, with all 29 gold medals awarded, showcasing a flourishing scene where multiple teams secured golds. Germany had another breakout day, clinching 4 golds to rank first, while Italy took 2 golds to place second. China ascended to third with 3 golds, and France, Switzerland, and Hong Kong each also garnered 3 golds!

On the first competition day, the Chinese team had a low gold medal haul, managing only one gold and ranking ninth. However, on the second day, we significantly improved our medal-winning capability, achieving a total of three golds and one silver. The golds came from karate, gymnastics, and wushu, with Gong Li making a remarkable comeback after injury to win gold in the women's 61 kg karate final against Japan. Gao Jiushang earned the gold in the men's wushu events of long fist, sword, and staff. Additionally, in the gymnastics technical competition, the Chinese team dominated the women's group event (women's trio) to claim victory. We also secured a silver in the dragon boat 8-person open 2000m chase race, which is indeed a pity as we couldn't clinch gold in this traditional event. With 4 golds over two competition days, we have surged into the top three!

Germany has shown a strong performance, having topped the medal table in the last edition. Now in Chengdu, they continue to demonstrate formidable gold-winning capabilities. They secured 4 golds on the first competition day and followed up with another 4 golds on the second day, amassing a total of 8 golds over two days to sit firmly in first place, 2 golds ahead of second-place Italy. Germany is indeed our biggest competitor for the top spot in the medal standings!

Other teams, like Italy, performed well, earning 2 golds on the day but falling to second with a total of 6 golds as Germany surpassed them. France and Switzerland each secured 3 golds, while Hong Kong also had a strong showing with 3 golds, which is truly impressive!

Additionally, on the World Games stage, a Latin dance judge from Latvia has gone viral, becoming the center of attention and sparking significant interest. Many have praised their stylish outfit and remarkable presence, declaring them simply perfect!
