The 27-year-old transferred to City from AC Milan for a reported transfer fee of £46.6 million earlier this summer, aiming to bolster their midfield depth.
City experienced their worst season ever under Guardiola in 2024/25, as their significant drop in performance coincided with Rodri’s ACL injury.
Rodri has since sustained another injury and is not expected to return until September at the earliest.
In a press conference, Reijnders stated: "During the Club World Cup, I took on three different roles in midfield, and I aspire to be a midfielder capable of fulfilling all those roles. I am willing to play wherever the manager requires, and I will give my utmost effort, of course."
"We have focused extensively on ball possession and our strategies against teams that play with a very low block.
“Additionally, we practice how quickly we can regain possession after losing the ball. In the Club World Cup, we played several matches together, and now in training, we are getting to know each other better.
“I can clearly see that he possesses many qualities, which makes it easier for the other midfielders to collaborate with him."
