Real Madrid faces a dilemma with their Brazilian duo: Rodrygo can't be sold, while Vinicius is demanding a €30 million renewal.

This transfer window has been particularly troublesome for Real Madrid, mainly because of their Brazilian pair, including Rodrygo, who doesn't fit into Alonso's strategy. However, selling him has proven impossible. The club’s €100 million valuation has attracted no buyers, and Manchester City has opted to retain Savio rather than sign Rodrygo. On the other hand, Viniciusis facing a contract renewal standoff, as he is demanding a total salary package of €30 million per year.

According to ESPN Brazil, negotiations between Real Madrid and Vinicius over a new deal have completely stalled. The main reason is Vinicius's sky-high salary demands, which are €10 million more than the club is willing to offer. Real Madrid believes Vinicius isn’t worth this amount, but the player is holding firm on his demands.

Reportedly, Vinicius currently earns a net annual salary of €17 million at Real Madrid. In an effort to secure his renewal, the club decided to increase his pay to €20 million after tax. However, Vinicius’s representatives argue that, as a “World Player of the Year,” their client deserves more. They have requested a fixed net salary of €20 million plus a €10 million bonus. Without these terms, they won’t agree to a renewal. His current contract runs until the end of June 2027.

Talks over a contract extension between Vinicius and Real Madrid have now been put on hold. Vinicius has decided to wait until the end of this season before making any decisions. Next summer, when he enters the final year of his contract, he will have greater leverage in negotiations.
