An Jaehyun defeated Tomokazu Harimoto 3-2 with scores of 11-8, 4-11, 11-7, 9-11, 11-8, advancing confidently to the men's singles quarterfinals.

With Wang Chuqin absent from the men's singles, Lin Shidong is now the only remaining contender! Thanks to An Jaehyun for removing a major obstacle on Lin Shidong’s path to the title.
