Event Preview
Tonight, Chinese players will compete in eight matches, with an expected 5-6 wins.
Certain wins are expected from women’s singles players Sun Yingsha and Chen Yi, as well as the women’s doubles pair Sun Yingsha/Wang Manyu.
Likely wins include mixed doubles pair Kuai Man/Lin Shidong and men’s doubles team Lin Shidong/Huang Youzheng.
There is a 60-70% chance of victory for men’s singles player Lin Shidong and women’s singles player Shi Xunyao.
Wang Manyu has about a 40% chance to win because her opponent is Hashimoto Honoka. Except for Sun Yingsha, Chinese female players have been swept by Hashimoto for the past three years. We hope Wang Manyu can learn from Sun Yingsha’s approach to defeat Hashimoto.
We look forward to the mixed doubles team defeating Lim Jong-hoon/Shin Yu-bin to secure a strong start and win the mixed doubles championship for China.
