Day 6 of the 2025 Flushing Meadows: Alcaraz aims for the Round of 16, Leylah Fernandez and Raducanu set for a Grand Slam champion showdown

The 2025 Flushing Meadows Day 6 schedule is out, with the men’s singles bottom half and women’s singles top half playing third-round matches, and doubles events proceeding with their initial rounds.

AtArthur Ashe Stadium, the schedule opens with a match between second seed Alcaraz and 32nd seed Darderi, their first meeting ever. Following that, last year’s women’s singles finalist and home favorite Pegula will take the court against two-time Australian Open champion Azarenka. Four-time tournament winner Djokovic and fifth seed Andreyeva will headline the night session, facing former top-10 British player Norrie and local favorite Townsend respectively.

The spotlight clash between ninth seed Leylah Fernandez and former champion Raducanu will kick off on Louis Armstrong Stadium, where Shelton, Sabalenka, and Fritz will also compete. Additionally, several Chinese players will participate in the women’s doubles first round.
