WTA Ningbo: Wang Xinyu and Yuan Yue face off in the first round derby, Zhu Lin to play Raducanu

The 2025 WTA500 Ningbo draw was unveiled on October 11th Beijing time. Andreyeva leads as the number one seed, followed by Paolini and Rybakina as the second and third seeds. These three athletes will battle in this tournament to secure their places at this year’s Riyadh WTA Finals.

Regarding Chinese players, Wang Xinyu entered directly due to her ranking and will face wildcard Yuan Yue in the opening round. Zhu Lin and Wang Xiyu also received wildcards; their first-round opponents are Raducanu and seventh seed Schneider, respectively.

This season’s WTA500 Ningbo event will take place from October 13th to 19th. The singles champion will earn 500 ranking points and $164,000 in prize money. The defending singles champion is Kasatkina, who has announced she will end her season early and therefore will not defend her title; top seed Andreyeva was last year’s finalist.
