Two of the world’s leading young tennis stars, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, will face off in the final of the prestigious Six Kings Slam 2025 exhibition tournament held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
On the night of October 16 (local time), defending champion Jannik Sinner overcame tennis legend Novak Djokovic in the semifinal with a score of 6-4, 6-2, securing his spot in the Six Kings Slam 2025 final.
In the first set, the 24-year-old Italian player broke Djokovic’s serve early in the third game and maintained the lead to close the set 6-4. In the second set, the 14-year age difference between the players (Sinner 24, Djokovic 38) became evident. Djokovic appeared fatigued during long rallies, while Sinner played with growing confidence and dominance. He quickly wrapped up the match 6-2, achieving a convincing victory in just over an hour of play.
After the match, Djokovic cheerfully told the audience: "Sorry you didn’t get to watch a longer match, it’s his fault, not mine." The Serbian player humorously added: "He plays like a bullet train. I just tried to hang on but couldn’t; Sinner was outstanding today. Congratulations and best of luck to him in the final."
In the other semifinal, world No.1 Carlos Alcaraz faced Taylor Fritz (world No.4) from the USA – whom he recently defeated in the Japan Open final last month. The outcome was similar: Alcaraz continued to showcase superior form, breaking his opponent’s serve three times and successfully saving two break points he faced. As a result, Alcaraz won comfortably 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the final.
