Due to health concerns, the former US Open champion and current world No.29 British leading player Raducanu has opted to finish her 2025 season early. Over the last four Asian tournaments (Seoul, China Open, Wuhan, Ningbo), she recorded just 2 wins and 4 losses. In the opening match at Ningbo versus Zhu Lin, Raducanu suffered physical issues during the final set.

Although ending her season prematurely, Raducanu’s overall performance this year has been commendable, with steady progress on the tour and a significant rise in her world ranking. Based on her current standing, she will earn a seeded position at next year’s Australian Open, allowing her to avoid facing top players in the first two rounds of the Grand Slam.
Another point of interest is Raducanu’s coaching setup for the 2026 season; she will continue working with Francisco Roig next year. The Spanish coach, who previously worked with Nadal, joined Raducanu’s team after Wimbledon this year and helped her achieve notable results during the North American hard court season, including reaching the semifinals in Washington.
