Currently ranked 29th globally, Tiafoe has ended his collaboration with coach David Witt and is gearing up for fresh challenges before the upcoming season. Hugi Alconada, who has been with Tiafoe for the last five years, is also leaving the team.

On social media, Alconada shared the news of his impending departure: "After five years filled with dedication and happiness, it’s time to let go. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to work alongside you. I am very proud of what we have achieved together. I feel incredibly excited about the future and new beginnings."

Meanwhile, Tiafoe explained to his fans why he decided to end his season early: "This wasn’t the season I had hoped for, but I have gained a lot of valuable experience both on and off the court."

“I want to express my deepest respect to my team. I have worked with them for several years. Together, we’ve shared some extraordinary moments that I will always cherish. That said, I have decided it’s time for a change. I am truly grateful for the love, energy, passion, and brotherhood. It has been an amazing journey, and only bigger and better things await us in the future.”

“I am excited about what lies ahead and ready to put in the effort. Thank you for all the love and support you have given me. The best is yet to come.”

This season, Tiafoe achieved a singles record of 26 wins and 23 losses, finishing as runner-up at the ATP 250 Houston tournament and reaching the quarterfinals of the French Open.
