The Paris Masters draw has been released, featuring the matchups for the top eight seeds and others, with Dimitrov participating.

The Paris Masters draw has been announced, with Djokovic officially confirming his withdrawal, and Chinese players staying quiet.

Following the China season, Chinese players were absent from last week's three ATP250 tournaments and this week's two ATP500 events. The highest-ranked Chinese player currently is Bu Yunchaokete at 115th, which only grants a possibility to enter the qualifying rounds.

The Paris Masters features a 56-player draw, where the top eight seeds skip the first round.

Quarter 1: Alcaraz (1) vs. Ruud (8)

AlcarazHis first match will be against the winner between Norrie and Baez.

RuudHis opening match will be against the winner of Giron and Altmaier.

Shanghai Masters championVacheroHe faces 14th seed Lehecka in the first round, while the runner-up, the elder cousin (Lindgren), meets Mao Roran in the opening round. The cousins have a chance to meet in the second round. Both enter the tournament via wildcards.

Quarter 2: Fritz (4) vs. Deminal (6)

FritzHis first opponent will be either Altmaier or a qualifier.

DeminalHe will face either Diallo or Tarren in his opening match.

FonsecaFaces Shapovalov in the first round. They just met yesterday in Basel. Meeting two weeks in a row—what a coincidence!

Quarter 3: Musetti (7) vs. Zverev (3)

MusettiHis first match will be against Sonego or a qualifier.

ZverevHis opening match will be against Karatsev or a qualifier.

Both have already reached the semifinals in Vienna and will face each other there.

Zverev is the defending champion and faces immense pressure to defend his points.

DimitrovReturning from injury. This is his first tournament since his Wimbledon injury loss to Sinner at 6-3/7-5/2-2. He will face Perkard in the first round. Dimitrov was the 2023 runner-up.

11th seed MedvedevHis first match is against Munar, another tough opponent. Munar plays Fonseca tonight in the Basel semifinals.

Quarter 4: Shelton (5) vs. Sinner (2)

SheltonHis first match will be against Kobori or Mahach. Given Shelton’s current form, this will not be easy.

SinnerHis opening match will be against Mitchellson or Bergs. Sinner is still playing the semifinals in Vienna. He needs points to close the gap on Alcaraz and prepare for reclaiming the world No. 1 spot.

16th seed MensikHe will face Serdendolo in the first round. He withdrew before the Basel event.

Another young rising starLernachenHis first match is against Borges. The winner will meet 12th seed Rublev in the second round.

RublevAfter losing to Alcaraz in the fourth round of the US Open, Rublev has struggled during the China season: losing first rounds in Hangzhou to Royer, in Beijing to Kobori, and in Shanghai Masters to Nishikori. This week at Vienna Open, he lost in the first round to Norrie.

Rublev, suffering a five-match losing streak, is going through the toughest phase of his career. Will Paris be the place where he turns things around? It's doubtful!

The final ATP1000 event of the season—the Paris Masters—is about to begin from October 27 to November 2. After this event, the qualifiers for the year-end finals will mostly be decided.

Neither Alcaraz nor Sinner has ever won this tournament. Good luck to them.
