Fritz secured his spot at the ATP Finals on Wednesday.
Following Musetti’s disappointing second-round loss to Sonego at the Paris Masters, Fritz cemented his ranking on the Turin points list. He will compete alongside Alcaraz, Sinner, Zverev, and Djokovic in Turin.

Last year, Fritz overcame former champions Medvedev and Zverev en route to the final, where he was defeated by Sinner and missed out on the title. This will mark his third appearance at the ATP Finals, having advanced from the group stage in both previous participations.
Fritz started this season strong by leading the USA to victory at the United Cup and has maintained consistent form since. He won titles in Stuttgart and Eastbourne, achieving the feat of winning multiple championships for the fourth consecutive year.
Additionally, Fritz reached his first Wimbledon semifinal and later advanced to the final in Tokyo. Other notable performances include semifinal appearances at the Miami and Toronto Masters events.

The ATP Finals will be held from November 9 to 16 at the Pala Alpitour in Turin, with three singles spots still undecided. Ben Shelton currently ranks sixth in the ATP Finals live standings, Demin seventh, and Musetti eighth. Ninth-ranked Alcaraz trails Musetti by 390 points. Ruud has been eliminated from the Paris Masters and is out of contention. As for Medvedev, he still has a chance only if he wins the Paris title and secures another championship in one of next week's two ATP 250 tournaments.
