In the women’s singles clash, Swiatek and Bencic delivered an exciting contest: Swiatek took the first set 6-3. Bencic responded with a dominant 6-0 win in the second set, leveling the match. In the decisive third set, Bencic maintained her momentum and won 6-3, securing the crucial first point for Switzerland in the final. Prior to this match, Bencic’s head-to-head record against Swiatek stood at one win and five losses.

In the men’s singles encounter, Hurkacz and Wawrinka also put on a thrilling show. Each player claimed a set 6-3 in the first two sets. Notably, Wawrinka, at 40 years old, executed a stunning backhand down the line, showcasing artistry even at his age.

As the match entered the final set, Hurkacz once again secured a 6-3 win, earning a vital point that kept Poland’s championship hopes alive. This result pushed the title decision to the mixed doubles showdown.

In the ultimate mixed doubles battle, Kawa and Jeliński represented Poland, while Bencic and J. Paolino played for Switzerland, competing for the final victory. With steadier serves and better coordination, Kawa/Jeliński took the initiative, winning the first set and gaining the championship edge. In the crucial second set, their partnership continued to dominate Bencic and J. Paolino. Ultimately, Poland clinched the match with a 6-3 second set win, securing the championship.

For Poland, this marked their third consecutive appearance in the United Cup final. They had previously avenged their loss to the defending champions USA in the semifinals. Unlike before, this time they relied on more consistent teamwork to finally capture the United Cup title after missing out twice.
