On March 17, Beijing time, the 2025 WTA 1000 Indian Wells tournament came to an end, and Andreyeva, the No. 9 seed of Rolex Testimone, defeated world No. 1 Sabalenka 2-6/6-4/6-3 in the women's singles final, winning two 1000 championships back-to-back with 12 consecutive wins. The 17-year-old will become the youngest player to win 12 consecutive 1000 tournaments since the WTA overhaul in 2009, and only the third woman in the last 40 years to win a top-two win in a single event before the age of 18 (Miami: Graff 1987, US Open 1999: Serena Williams). Over the past month, Andreeva has won five straight victories against Sabalenka, Swiatek and Rybakina, winning two heavyweight titles in Dubai and Indian Wells, and her world ranking has risen to a new personal high this week.
Andreyeva
"I want to thank myself again for fighting until the very end, I always believed in myself and never gave up." Speaking at the ceremony, Andreeva said, "Today I made myself run as fast as a rabbit and it was difficult for me to keep up with Alina [Sabalenka]'s return, so I had to give it my all and that's why I want to thank myself." I tried to play more aggressively in the second set, and I didn't try to suppress her in terms of power because I don't think anybody can do that, she's an extremely powerful player. So I tried to make her less comfortable when she hit the ball, point by point, game by game, and I managed to do it. ”
