Raducanu's high-value endorsement partnership with Vodafone has reportedly been terminated. It is reported that the reason for the termination of the cooperation is that the "financial requirements" put forward by the British player are considered too harsh by the telecom giant.
In a report published on Sunday, April 13, the Daily Mail noted that Vodafone had withdrawn from its partnership with Raducanu. The British rising star's partnership with Vodafone began in December 2021, shortly after she won the US Open as an 18-year-old qualifier, on a deal worth up to £3 million a year (more than $3.9 million at current exchange rates).
After winning the 2021 US Open, Raducanu quickly became popular and became a coveted signatory by the world's top brands. In addition to working with Vodafone, she has also been the face of brands such as Porsche, British Airways, Dior, Nike, and Evian. However, her on-court performances have been inconsistent since her overnight success, with frequent injuries and coach changes also taking a toll on her development.
Last year, there were rumors that Porsche had repossessed a car that had been given to Raducanu. In October 2024, rumors swirled about Raducanu's partnership with German luxury car manufacturer Porsche, and it was rumored that a 911 Carrera GTS that Porsche had gifted her had been repossessed.
Shortly after the news spread, Raducanu appeared to respond via Instagram Story. In her post, she posted a picture of herself taking a bus to pick up a Porsche Cayenne, and she was later photographed driving the car in London. A Porsche spokesperson also clarified, saying that her partnership with the brand is all in order.
"Raducanu is Porsche's global brand ambassador and has had a stable and successful relationship since its inception in 2022. We are very happy with this. The spokesman said.
Currently, Raducanu is ranked 47th in the WTA singles world rankings. Her most recent appearance was at the 2025 Miami Open, where she managed to reach the quarter-finals, eventually losing to runner-up Pegula.
However, she hasn't competed since that loss. She withdrew from representing Great Britain in the qualifying tournament for the Billie Jane King Cup, a decision that also drew the ire of some fans. The 22-year-old also announced his retirement from the Porsche race in Stuttgart.
Raducanu is reportedly in talks with Murray's former coach Mark Petchey about taking on a permanent coaching role on his team. While no agreement has been reached, the British tennis star is keen to appoint Page as his new head coach.
Page was in the team box at Raducanu at last month's Miami Open to watch her best tournament of the year – she made it all the way to the quarterfinals.
The former World Top 100 player coached Andy Murray when he was 18 years old, and the pair worked together for 10 months, during which Murray won his first ATP title. Murray went on to become world No. 1 and won three Grand Slam trophies and two Olympic gold medals in his career.
Back in the summer of 2020, Page trained with Raducanu, who was just a teenager at the time, at the National Tennis Center. The two have respected each other since those weeks, and now Raducanu is looking forward to a longer-term collaboration with Page this time.
Raducanu's coaching staff has undergone frequent changes in recent years. The 22-year-old hasn't had a permanent head coach since Nick Cavaday left his post in January due to health reasons. Vladimir Platenik had a two-week tryout, but ended the collaboration before the start of the Miami Open.
Prior to that, Raducanu briefly worked with a number of coaches, including Nigel Sears, Torben Beltz and Andrew Richardson, the latter of whom was her head coach when she won the 2021 US Open.
If Paige is able to join, it will be an important boost for Raducanu as she prepares for next month's Italian Open, a major warm-up tournament before the French Open.(Source: Tennis Home Author: Spark)
