Halfway through the 2025 French Open, who will conquer Paris?

The weather in Paris in early summer was fine, and the 2025 French Open ended its first week at the intersection of May and June, with the men's and women's singles round of 16 line-ups settled. Although accompanied by a drizzle, this year's French Open has not been affected by this, with famous players overcoming obstacles, newcomers rising strongly, and former celebrities waving goodbye...... Rolex Testimonee Roger Federer made a surprise appearance at the French Open to honour Nadal, evoking memories of the two tennis legends around the world.

After six years of working together, the striking Rolex clock on and off the field has become a unique sight; Rolex Testimonees fight the field to create one clay legend after another.

Rolex Testimonee Zheng Qinwen eliminated former tournament runner-up Pavlyuchenkova and Arango and qualifier Mulboko on the way to qualify, extending his singles winning streak at Roland Garros to nine matches and returning to the round of 16 of the French Open after three years. Zheng Qinwen has played well in these three matches, and in the fourth round against her old rival Samsonova, she will go all out to win and set her best record at the French Open. Zheng's potential opponents in the quarterfinals are top seed Sabalenka and 16th seed Anisimova.

In the fourth round, Swiatek will face 12th seed Rybakina across the net, and if she manages to advance, she will face 13th seed Svitolina. Rolex Testimonee Gauff, seeded second in the Women's Singles, continued her excellent form of this year's clay season in the first three rounds, beating Gaedki, Valentova and Bouzkova in straight sets. Gauff's fourth-round opponent is 20th seed Alexandria Nova and she will need to face a compatriot for a place in the semi-finals anyway, with seventh seeds Keys and Baptiste being potential opponents in the quarter-finals.

Andreeva will face 17th seed Kasatkina for a place in the quarter-finals, and if she progresses, she will face the winner between third seed Pegula and homegrown wild card black horse Boisson. In the second week of the tournament, Gauff and Andreeva will also be aiming for the semi-finals.

Among them, the second round match against Gasquet was the last match of the French veteran's career, and Sinner also sent his blessings to the opponent who waved goodbye to the tennis world on home soil. Sinner's first opponent in the second week will be 17th seed Rublev, who will have a chance to meet his friend Draper in the quarter-finals if he progresses.

Rolex testimonee and defending champion Alcaraz had a slight fluctuation in the first three rounds of the French Open, dropping a set in each of his next two matches after a comfortable first-round victory. In any case, Alcaraz, who won two Masters titles this year on clay, remains one of the favourites to win the French Open. Alcaraz will face Shelton in the fourth round in a Rolex Testimonee derby, who won the first round in five sets, received a retirement gift from Gaston in the second round, and reached the last 16 of the French Open for the first time in his career after beating qualifier Gigant. The winner of the two players will face 12th seed Paul in the quarter-finals.

Rolex Testimonee Rune has been a clay-court player since his debut, and he struggled in the first three rounds as the No.10 seed at the French Open. In the first round, Rune battled Spanish veteran Agut in four sets, and in the third round, he faced local player Aris until the deciding set to win the thrilling victory. Rune will face 8th seed Musetti, who has been a good clay season, and if he progresses to the quarter-finals, he will face the winner between 15th seed Tiafoe and Germany's Altmaier.

Although the loss to No.5 seed Draper was unfortunately lost, the 18-year-old's world ranking will be determined to set a new career high after the French Open.
