WTA Prague: Wang Xinyu wins the first set, match postponed; could face double duty today.

On July 24, 2025, the WTA 250 event in Prague commenced the quarterfinals of the women's singles. The tournament's fourth seed, Wang Xinyu, secured the first set 6-4 against local player Belek, but the match was postponed to today due to insufficient light. This means that if Wang Xinyu wins the rescheduled match starting at 5:00 PM Beijing time today, she will face the challenge of playing two matches in one day, going up against top seed Noskova in the semifinals.

In other completed matches, top seed Noskova defeated Siniakova 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, fifth seed Buzkova came back to win against An Li 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, and Valentova swept Ponchet 6-2, 6-0. These three local players each triumphed over their opponents to reach the semifinals, with Wang Xinyu being the only non-local player in the women's singles draw.
