Hurkacz has withdrawn from the 2025 US Open due to injury.

Hurkacz has withdrawn from next month's US Open, marking his second consecutive absence from a Grand Slam event. The former world No. 6 has been sidelined from the tour since June following a right knee arthroscopy.

In a post on July 3, Hurkacz stated, "Over the past few weeks, I have been dealing with knee issues such as pain, fluid accumulation, and other problems that have made training and competing difficult. After exploring different options, we decided that undergoing arthroscopy was the best solution. During the procedure, the excessive growth of synovial tissue causing inflammation, pain, and related issues was removed. I am very grateful to Dr. Bartlomiej Kacprzak for performing the surgery."

This is not the first time Hurkacz has faced a knee injury. Last year at Wimbledon, he tore his right meniscus, forcing him to withdraw from the second round. Hurkacz has recorded a 15-11 win-loss record this season, with his best result being a runner-up finish at the ATP 250 event in Geneva.
