WTA Prague: Wang Xinyu's Double Match Day, Eliminated by Noskova, Misses Final

At the WTA 250 Prague singles event, the tournament's fourth seed, Wang Xinyu, faced a double match day. She first defeated local player Belek in a quarterfinal match that was resumed, with a score of 6-4, 6-1. However, in the semifinals, she lost to the top seed Noskova with a score of 4-6, 1-6, thus missing the final.

The previous day's quarterfinal was delayed due to darkness after Wang Xinyu won the first set 6-4. In the resumed match, she quickly secured victory in under half an hour with a score of 6-1. However, upon returning to the court, Wang Xinyu requested a medical timeout shortly after the match began, wrapping her right knee and calf in thick bandages. The fatigue from consecutive matches and her injury hindered her ability to maintain her excellent performance in the semifinals, leading to her defeat in both sets and ending her run in the top four. As a result, Wang Xinyu's career record in WTA Tour semifinals is now 1 win and 7 losses. Noskova will compete for the title tonight against the fifth seed, Buzkova, also from the Czech Republic.
