Atmane breaks into the top 100 and is named this week's most improved player, while Khachanov returns to the top ten.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, the ATP website released the latest PIF ATP rankings, highlighting this week's most improved players. Among them, 23-year-old French player Terence Atmane captured attention with a breakthrough performance in Cincinnati, reaching the top 100 for the first time.

As a qualifier at the Cincinnati Masters, Atmane powered through the draw, securing seven victories (including two in qualifying) and dropping only two sets. On his way to the semifinals, he defeated 15th seed Cobolli, Brazilian rising star Joao Fonseca, and two top 10 players, Taylor Fritz and Holger Rune. Although he eventually lost to world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the semifinals, his impressive run propelled him up 67 places to a career-high No. 69.

"It’s just crazy, unbelievable."

That’s how Atmane described his journey in Cincinnati.

Besides Atmane, several other players also saw significant changes in their rankings.

His career-best ranking was No. 8, achieved in 2019.
