Latest Update on the WTT European Grand Slam in Table Tennis: China National Team Achieves 7 Wins and 3 Losses, Showing Impressive Performance

According to the latest update on the WTT European Grand Slam in table tennis, as of 8:30 AM today (2025.8.20), Chinese team members have achieved 7 wins and 3 losses, standing out with strong performances.

During the night session, six Chinese players took part and ended up with three wins and three losses, which is considered an average showing. Please refer to the chart below for more information.

  1. Liang Jingkun, Qian Tianyi, and He Zhuojia were defeated in the women’s singles and have been knocked out of the competition.
  2. Lin Shidong in the men’s singles, as well as Kuai Man and Shi Xunyao in the women’s singles, secured victories and moved on to the next round.

In the early morning session, all six Chinese players emerged victorious, delivering a flawless performance. Details are illustrated in the chart below.

  1. Wang Manyu and Wang Yidi both won their women’s singles matches and progressed to the following round.
  2. In mixed doubles, Lin Shidong and Kuai Man defeated their opponents to advance further in the tournament.
  3. In the men’s doubles, Liang Jingkun and Wen Ruibo overcame their rivals and moved on to the next stage.

Post-Match Summary and Reflections

  1. Special criticism must go to Liang Jingkun. Despite his strong abilities, he was swept out of the tournament by an unseeded player ranked 103rd in the world. If he doesn’t reflect and improve his technical and tactical skills, maintaining his main position on the team may become difficult.
  2. Qian Tianyi and He Zhuojia deserve some consolation. Qian Tianyi’s loss to Honoka Hashimoto was expected, as among the Chinese team, only Sun Yingsha has beaten her. He Zhuojia faced Kuai Man early and lost, which is also understandable. Here’s a big red flower as encouragement—keep fighting for the next match!
  3. In other matches, the Chinese team performed as expected—well done to all. Overall, the team stood out, and we look forward to even better results in today’s competitions!
