On October 7, the men's team of Sanest Khánh Hòa faced a critical match against Thể Công Tân Cảng, aiming to win and maintain their chances of qualifying for the finals of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.

However, coach Ngô Văn Kiều’s squad failed to surprise their consistently performing opponent and suffered a disappointing 0-3 defeat.

Starting with their strongest lineup, Sanest Khánh Hòa relied heavily on the standout performance of Argentine foreign player Federico Pereyra along with key players like Dương Văn Tiên and Trần Duy Tuyến.

From the beginning of the match, the coastal team actively deployed strong wing attacks combined with effective net blocking. In the first set, both teams exchanged points evenly in a balanced battle, with Pereyra and Văn Tiên consistently scoring to keep Sanest Khánh Hòa closely trailing.

Nevertheless, Thể Công Tân Cảng’s steadiness and composure in crucial plays helped them narrowly win 28-26.

In the next two sets, Thể Công Tân Cảng displayed superior skill in blocking and wing attacks. The duo of Rivan (opposite hitter) along with main attackers Trung Thành and Văn Nam maintained impressive form, continuously pressuring Sanest Khánh Hòa’s defense.

Their fast attacks and tactical serves unsettled the opponents, causing them to lose control. Consequently, Thể Công Tân Cảng won 25-20 and 25-18 respectively, closing the match with a convincing 3-0 victory.

This victory nearly secures Thể Công Tân Cảng’s place in the semifinals, while Sanest Khánh Hòa’s hopes become more fragile than ever. Despite their efforts, coach Ngô Văn Kiều’s team has yet to demonstrate the cohesion and breakthroughs needed in their combinations, especially at critical moments.
