Determining the first teams to reach the semifinals of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship

The 2025 National Volleyball Championship has already identified the initial teams securing their spots in the semifinals.

After the opening day on October 7th, the second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship confirmed 3 men's teams and 3 women's teams officially advancing to the semifinals, clarifying the competition for the championship title.

In the men's category, The Cong Tan Cang was the first team to secure a place among the top 4 after a convincing 3-0 victory over Sanest Khanh Hoa. This win guaranteed Coach Thai Anh Van's squad a spot in the top four regardless of the final group stage match result against Hanoi.

Ho Chi Minh City Police continued to demonstrate their superior strength with a 3-0 win over Da Nang, extending their winning streak to 6 matches since the start of the tournament and maintaining their top position. Their consistency and balanced roster, supported by foreign players Kubiak and Martin Licek, make Coach Nguyen Van Hai's team a strong contender for the championship.

Bien Phong also advanced early thanks to a perfect 5-win record in phase 1. Although they only started competing in phase 2 on October 8th, the team secured their spot based on previously accumulated points.

In the women's category, Vietinbank officially qualified for the semifinals after a 3-0 win against Hung Yen. Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet’s team currently holds 4 wins and 2 losses and will face Xi Mang Long Son Thanh Hoa in the last group match. Regardless of that result, Vietinbank is assured of a place in the finals due to their safe point total.

The remaining two spots in the women's category belong to LPB Ninh Binh and VTV Binh Dien Long An. LPBank Ninh Binh, undefeated in 5 matches during phase 1, has already qualified and aims to maintain the top position for an advantage at the end of the group stage. Meanwhile, VTV Binh Dien Long An has also guaranteed progression beyond the group stage regardless of the outcomes in the last two matches of phase 2.

The final spot to the women's finals is fiercely contested between Thong Tin - Dong Bac and Hoa Chat Duc Giang. The upcoming match results will determine which team advances.
