Vietnam women's volleyball finalizes training roster for SEA Games 33

The Vietnam women's volleyball team will train within the country prior to departing for SEA Games 33 in Thailand.

The Vietnam women's volleyball team has announced the list of players called up for training to prepare for SEA Games 33, which will take place in December in Thailand. This list excludes two players currently competing in Japan: Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Tran Thi Bich Thuy, who will join the team later.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet’s selection this time no longer relies on the initial core group from earlier this year; instead, he chose players performing well in the national championship as well as young talents who have proven their abilities.

Hoang Hong Hanh, the outside hitter from the Laocai Silver Medal Team, earned her national team spot through impressive performances across both phases of this year's national championship. Doan Thi Xuan, Le Thi Yen, Dang Thi Kim Thanh, and Luu Thi Hue also mark their return.

Key players such as the setter duo Vo Thi Kim Thoa - Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh, and the middle blocker pair Nguyen Thi Trinh - Le Thanh Thuy continue to receive full trust.

Several notable names are missing from this training call-up and are almost certain to miss SEA Games 33, including three players from Information - Northeast: Nguyen Thi Phuong, Pham Thi Hien, Luu Thi Ly Ly; VietinBank libero Nguyen Thi Ninh Anh; and opposite hitter Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen.

It is known that the Vietnam women's volleyball team will conduct their training domestically instead of abroad as previously planned. Quang Ninh has been selected as the training location.
