Trần Thị Thanh Thúy's team, Gunma Green Wings, once again faced a tough match, losing 0-3 to NEC Red Rockets, one of the strongest teams in the 2025/2026 Japanese National Volleyball League.

The round 4 match concluded with set scores of 22-25, 15-25, and 23-25, reflecting NEC's dominant control but also showing Gunma's admirable effort.

From the very first set, NEC Red Rockets proved why they are top favorites for the title with a balanced squad, fast gameplay, and highly effective attacks. Although Gunma Green Wings had a strong start and managed to equalize several times, NEC's poise and experience enabled them to pull ahead and win 25-22.

In the second set, Gunma struggled significantly with their first pass, causing their attacks to become fragmented. Meanwhile, NEC's blocking and counterattack skills were superior, allowing them to easily win 25-15.

In the third set, coach shifted Trần Thị Thanh Thúy to the opposite hitter position to introduce more variation. Gunma's attacking combinations became smoother, enabling them to closely chase their opponents multiple times. However, NEC still displayed the composure of a top team by finishing the match with a 25-23 win, securing all three points.

Thanh Thúy remained a standout player for Gunma, taking on the role of main attacker and showing great fighting spirit. Although she has yet to help the rookie team achieve their first victory, her performance continues to inspire hope among Vietnamese supporters.

Previously, in round 3, Gunma Green Wings also lost 0-3 to NEC Red Rockets with scores of 20-25, 17-25, and 22-25. These two successive losses against the current runners-up highlight the gap in experience and quality but also allow Thanh Thúy's team to build resilience as they pursue success in their debut season in Japan's premier league.
