Cambodian national outside hitter Kuon Mom will keep representing Hanoi men's volleyball team at the 2026 National Championship.
The Hanoi men's volleyball team will renew the contract with outside hitter Kuon Mom, Cambodia's national player, for the 2026 National Volleyball Championship season. He is the first foreign player confirmed to participate in next year's tournament.
Mr. Bui Dinh Loi, Head of Volleyball Department at Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center and Vice Chairman – General Secretary of Hanoi Volleyball Federation, stated: “We have reached an agreement for Kuon Mom to continue playing for the team in the 2026 season. Initially, this player will participate right from the first round of the competition. He is a foreign player who fits well with the team's playing style, has integrated smoothly during the second phase, and significantly contributed to the successful relegation battle.”
Kuon Mom is a familiar name to Vietnamese volleyball fans. During the second phase of the 2025 National Championship in Ninh Binh, he helped Hanoi overcome difficulties and performed brilliantly in the relegation round.
The capital team secured three consecutive victories against Sanest Khanh Hoa, Da Nang, and Tay Ninh, officially remaining in the top tier of Vietnamese volleyball.
After the season ended, Kuon Mom returned to Cambodia to join the national team in preparation for the 33rd SEA Games 2025, scheduled for December in Thailand. The 27-year-old hitter is a key player for Cambodia, having won bronze at the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam and silver at the 32nd SEA Games on home soil.
