Next year's National A-Class Championship will once again feature fierce competition for promotion spots among clubs with high professional standards.
Group stage National A-Class Volleyball Championship The 2026 tournament is expected to kick off in May next year at the Dien Bien Provincial Sports Gymnasium.
According to the plan, after the group stage concludes, the 2026 National A-Class Championship finals will be held in December in Thai Nguyen. The tournament structure remains stable compared to recent seasons, with only one promotion slot for both men's and women's categories advancing to the 2027 National Volleyball Championship. These two slots will be awarded to the A-Class champions, ensuring strong competition and providing great motivation for teams throughout the season.
A notable point is that the 2026 National A-Class Championship still allows teams to use foreign players. Each team can register up to two foreign athletes; however, only one foreign player is permitted on the court at any given time—similar to the National Championship. This rule aims to balance enhancing professional quality and giving domestic players more opportunities to gain experience and compete.
Last season demonstrated that the policy of using foreign players significantly boosted the tournament's appeal. The 2025 National A-Class Championship finals held in Ha Tinh saw many strong teams boldly hiring foreign players, resulting in exciting, intense matches with high professional standards. At the end of the tournament, the men’s team from Ho Chi Minh City and the women’s team Hanoi Tasco Auto claimed the championship titles, thereby securing promotion to compete in the 2026 National Championship.
At this time, the tournament regulations have been finalized and submitted to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation for approval before being officially issued to all participating teams nationwide.
