This is positive news for VTV Bình Điền Long An after the reigning national champions faced a significant loss in their squad just before the start of the new year 2026.
Middle blocker Lữ Thị Phương will continue to be part of VTV Bình Điền Long An in the 2026 National Volleyball Championship season, according to information from SGGP.
Previously, there were rumors that Lữ Thị Phương would leave VTV Bình Điền Long An, supported by unclear images showing the middle blocker born in 2002 training with a new team. However, these rumors were inaccurate, and Lữ Phương will keep wearing the jersey of the current national champions this year.
Also according to SGGP, Lữ Thị Phương received an offer to play for a team in Mongolia, but in the end, the other side did not finalize the contract.
At 23 years old, Lữ Thị Phương is one of the standout players of VTV Bình Điền Long An. She has helped the team win two consecutive national championships in 2024 and 2025; three Hùng Vương Cup gold medals; and the highlight was the silver medal at the 2025 AVC Champions League. Lữ Phương and her teammates had the chance to qualify for the World Club Cup thanks to their runner-up position in Asia but did not participate due to many team members being called up for national duty at SEA Games 33 in Thailand recently.
Besides her talent on the court, Lữ Thị Phương also attracts attention for her exceptional beauty. She is considered one of the volleyball beauties of VTV Bình Điền Long An, alongside Đặng Thị Kim Thanh, Tào Khánh My, and Nguyễn Lan Vy.
Lữ Thị Phương’s decision to stay with VTV Bình Điền Long An is great news for coach Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Hoa, especially given that the reigning national champions no longer have the services of the national team libero - Nguyễn Khánh Đang and setter Lê Thị Ngọc Trâm.
The yellow-shirted team is also expected to welcome back outside hitter Phan Khánh Vy and will not recruit any domestic players for the 2026 season.
