Đặng Thị Kim Thanh is rising as one of the leading outside hitters in Vietnamese women's volleyball following her excellent display in the second stage of the 2025 National Championship.

National team player Đặng Thị Kim Thanh will compete for two teams in the 2026 season, having been registered on the roster of VTV Bình Điền Long An, while also playing for the women's volleyball club Ho Chi Minh City participating in the national A-class tournament.

According to SGGP, representatives from the coaching staff of VTV Bình Điền Long An confirmed that Đặng Thị Kim Thanh remains part of the team's professional plans for this year's national championship. The coaching staff assessed that the middle blocker born in 1999 is one of the players who consistently maintain stable performance and always meet tactical requirements recently.

During the period when the national championship is not held, Kim Thanh will simultaneously play for the Ho Chi Minh City women's team in the 2026 national A-class tournament, making her a notable figure as she serves two teams in two different competitions at the same time.

In the previous season, Kim Thanh, as an outside hitter, was a key factor in VTV Bình Điền Long An's journey to winning the 2025 national championship. Her impressive form earned her a call-up by coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt to the Vietnam women's volleyball national team during the second training phase, and she also was included in the official roster for SEA Games 33 where she won a silver medal in Thailand.

Born in 1999, Đặng Thị Kim Thanh is one of the most beloved volleyball players due to both her talent and beauty. After a period of retirement, the 26-year-old volleyball star returned in the 2024 season—joining the main Ho Chi Minh City team and helping the club win the national A-class championship that year, securing promotion to the national championship the following season.
