Coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt secured a new role before the start of the 2026 season.
According to information from SGGP, the management of the VietinBank women's volleyball team (Industrial and Commercial Bank)) has officially appointed Mr. Lê Văn Dũng as the head coach for the 2026 season.
This decision was made after former head coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt parted ways with the team at the beginning of 2026 to pursue new opportunities with the Hanoi women's team. Alongside his club responsibilities, the 49-year-old leader will continue to guide the Vietnam women's national volleyball team this year.
Previously, Coach Lê Văn Dũng had a successful period leading VietinBank, helping the team win the national championship in 2016. After the 2021 season, he stepped down as head coach. In 2023, he was unexpectedly invited back to contribute to the technical staff before taking charge of the youth team from 2024. During this time, Coach Lê Văn Dũng was also added by Coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt to the coaching team for the National Championship.
Along with the change in head coach, VietinBank has also completed the departure of assistant coach Tạ Đức Hiếu after his contract ended early 2026. According to sources, Coach Tạ Đức Hiếu is likely to join the Hanoi women's team under the leadership of Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt.
In the 2025 season, the Industrial and Commercial Bank finished in the top 4 of the national championship. However, the team roster saw significant changes. Two notable players, Vi Thị Như Quỳnh and Đặng Thị Hồng, no longer continue playing, with Như Quỳnh leaving the team and Đặng Thị Hồng having retired.
Nevertheless, the team still has promising young talents. Previously, Hà Kiều Vy and Nguyễn Phương Quỳnh represented the Vietnam U21 team at the World Championship in Indonesia, while Nguyễn Thị Ninh Anh was part of the Vietnam women's national volleyball team in 2025.
