The Vietnamese women's volleyball transfer market has been very active recently, yet two clubs remain unaffected by this trend.
Thong Tin - Dong Bac and VTV Binh Dien Long An have announced they will not recruit any domestic players for the 2026 Vietnamese women's volleyball season.
At Thong Tin - Dong Bac, the coaching staff confirmed they will prioritize young talents, giving them opportunities to gain match experience, build confidence, and gradually mature to eventually succeed the senior key players in the future.
A notable personnel change is that veteran middle blocker Bui Thi Nga will retire from playing starting 2026. Instead, she will take on a coaching role, helping to pass on her experience and support the team’s youth training efforts.
Previously, there were rumors that Thong Tin - Dong Bac planned to strengthen their squad with new signings, but with this announcement, it seems the team will focus on evaluating foreign players for now.
Similarly, VTV Binh Dien Long An also refuses domestic transfers this season. Both Thong Tin - Dong Bac and VTV Binh Dien Long An share the advantage of having the best youth academies in Vietnamese women's volleyball, dominating youth competitions in recent seasons.
Regarding VTV Binh Dien Long An, the team has parted ways with national team libero Nguyen Khanh Dang and setter Le Thi Ngoc Tram, but still retains a strong roster with notable players like Dang Thi Kim Thanh, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, and Nguyen Thi Tra My. Outside hitter Phan Khanh Vy is likely to return after taking a break last season due to family reasons.
Additionally, middle blocker Lu Thi Phuong received an offer from a club in Mongolia, but the team did not proceed with any transfer deals being finalized.
