It remains unclear if Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền will compete in the 2026 season as an athlete.
LPB Ninh Bình faces a very challenging 2026 season following the departure of numerous core players. The national team’s middle blockers duo - Lê Thanh Thúy and Lưu Thị Huệ have reached the end of their contracts, among whom Thanh Thúy has joined the newly promoted club Hà Nội Tasco Auto, which is receiving strong investment.
Libero Nguyễn Thị Kim Liên has also transferred to XMLS Thanh Hóa; Vi Thị Yến Nhi and Bùi Thị Ánh Thảo returned to their home club Hà Nội; meanwhile, middle blocker Nguyễn Thị Trinh’s participation this season is uncertain due to her recent marriage, alongside the case of Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền. Most recently, the setter who greatly contributed to Ninh Bình’s impressive achievements over the years - Nguyễn Thị Hoài Mi will also leave the capital city team.
Born in 1995, Nguyễn Thị Hoài Mi is one of the outstanding setters in Vietnamese women's volleyball. She was once a member of Vĩnh Long Television Clubbefore joining LPB Ninh Bình since 2021 until now.
Although Hoài Mi has not had the chance to play for the national team, she has had a successful club career with a trio of gold, silver, and bronze medals at the national championships from 2023 to 2025; winning the Hùng Vương Cup in 2025 alongside two runner-up finishes in 2023 and 2024; two Hoa Lư - Bình Điền Cup championships in 2024 and 2025; silver medals at the VTV9 - Bình Điền Cup and the Asian Club Championship 2024, earning the right to compete in the world championship.
At the World Club Championship the same year, Hoài Mi recorded impressive statistics despite Ninh Bình being eliminated after three group stage matches.
Nguyễn Thị Hoài Mi and Nguyễn Thị Bích Tuyền have been a formidable duo that brought great success to the capital city team in recent seasons. Despite having a very traditional setting style, without jump sets and mainly “roof-setting,” Hoài Mi’s sets were very consistent and perfectly matched Bích Tuyền’s powerful spikes.
Leaving Ninh Bình, Hoài Mi is likely to join TPHCM - a club competing in the national A league. Meanwhile, Bích Tuyền’s future remains uncertain, as the setter from Vĩnh Long has not played a single professional match since her explosive performance against Thailand in the second leg of the SEA V.League 2025.
In the second phase of last year’s national championship, Bích Tuyền was listed on LPB Ninh Bình’s roster, but only in the role of a caretaker.
