The Vietnamese women's volleyball team has a special plan after the 2026 AVC Cup

The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will conduct physical conditioning in Da Lat after the 2026 AVC Cup to support their dense competition calendar for the year.

The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is developing a training plan at the Bac Ninh University of Sports and Physical Education to prepare for the 2026 AVC Cup in the Philippines, scheduled from June 6 to 14.

After the tournament, the team will return home and carry out a short physical training session in Da Lat (Lam Dong) to enhance endurance and recovery capacity, serving their busy match schedule, as reported by SGGP.

In 2026, the team must participate in five international events, including the AVC Cup, VTV Cup, SEA V.League, Asian Championships, and ASIAD 20. Therefore, the coaching staff places special emphasis on physical fitness to ensure consistent performance.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet stressed that this is a key long-term preparation focus, while fitness expert Karl Lim continues to support the team's physical conditioning. Additionally, the team may consider reinforcing its roster after the AVC Cup, with a possible addition of about 14 athletes, though the final decision is still under careful consideration.

At the same time, middle blocker Tran Thi Bich Thuy, born in 2000, is highly regarded for her solid physical foundation and consistent form. According to Vietnam Volleyball, fitness expert Karl Lim of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team stated: "Bich Thuy is the athlete with the best endurance. With her slender build and good height, she recovers very quickly. Currently, she is definitely number one in physical training and recovery while maintaining high competitive performance."

Bich Thuy is also one of the standout faces in the middle blocker position for Vietnamese women's volleyball today. Besides competing domestically, she has had opportunities to experience various volleyball environments in Asia, thereby enhancing her professional skills and competitive mentality, making her a key player for the current Vietnamese women's volleyball team.
