Two strong Russian clubs will compete in the VTV Cup 2026.

The VTV Cup 2026 international women's volleyball tournament is expected to become more thrilling with the addition of two Russian teams, Korabelka and Dinamo Anapa, as reported by SGGP.

These are all highly skilled teams that are anticipated to bring remarkable competition against the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.

According to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, the VTV Cup 2026 is scheduled to take place from August 8 to 15 at the Vinh Yen Gymnasium (Phu Tho). The tournament is considered an important preparatory step for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team ahead of the 20th Asian Games as well as other international tasks this year.

Korabelka has previously won the VTV Cup in 2024 and 2025.

The presence of Korabelka and Dinamo Anapa offers a valuable opportunity for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his players to gain experience against teams from one of the world's leading volleyball nations. In the last two meetings with Korabelka in the VTV Cup finals of 2024 and 2025, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team was unable to secure a victory against this opponent.

In the 2025/2026 Russian women's volleyball season, Korabelka finished in seventh place. Meanwhile, Dinamo Anapa placed third in Vischaya Liga A, a league considered to be the top tier of Russian women's volleyball.

Notably, Korabelka's outside hitter Elizaveta Nesterova, who was named the Most Valuable Player at the VTV Cup in 2024 and 2025, has just been called up to the Russian women's national volleyball team in 2026. If she participates in the tournament, she will continue to be a player attracting great attention from Vietnamese fans.

Since the VTV Cup 2026 takes place at the same time as the SEA V.League 2026, the coaching staff of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team plans to create two separate squads to ensure professional objectives in both competitions.
