AVC Cup (formerly known as AVC Challenge Cup, AVC Nations Cup) is the premier continental tournament at the national team level, first held in 2018 and held annually since 2022. Although it no longer serves as a qualifier for the FIVB Challenger Cup - an event that has been discontinued, the AVC Cup remains an excellent opportunity for teams to accumulate points and improve their world rankings.
This year's AVC Cup takes place from June 6 to 14 in Candon, Philippines, featuring 12 teams divided into two groups A and B as follows:
The top two teams from each group advance to the semifinals, from which the champion will be determined. The remaining teams will play classification matches.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team has won the AVC Cup for three consecutive seasons: 2023 (defeating Indonesia in the final), 2024 (defeating Kazakhstan), 2025 (defeating Philippines). However, they became the former champions after losing in the semifinals of this season's tournament to South Korea.
