Set 1: Vietnam 25-18 Myanmar
Against a lower-rated opponent, the Vietnamese men's volleyball team quickly took control and built a 5-6 point lead early in the set. Although Myanmar fought hard to cut the deficit to 3 points, Coach Rampazzo's team remained steadfast in their play, especially with their blocking working effectively to frustrate the opponent.
The gap was re-established and gradually widened, and Vietnam won 25-18 in set 1 to take the lead in the match.
Set 2: Vietnam 25-23 Myanmar
Myanmar caused many difficulties for Vietnam in the second set. The blocking remained effective, but some lapses in defense, unstable first touch, too many serving errors, and rotation changes in the final stretch caused Vietnam to lose points.
Seeing the situation turning unfavorable, Coach Rampazzo brought back the key players and successfully protected the lead. The match was likely to end in just three sets as Vietnam still showed superiority despite playing below their potential at times.
Set 3: Vietnam 25-19 Myanmar
Superior strength allowed Vietnam to accelerate strongly in the early part of the set, but the rotation and inability to maintain consistency over multiple points continued to give Myanmar opportunities to score. Nevertheless, Coach Rampazzo and his players were still in full control, making it very difficult for Myanmar to cause any surprise, even for one set.
The 3-0 victory helps Vietnam finish Group B of the first leg of this year's SEA V.Cup in second place and will face the top team of Group A in the semifinals.
In the end, Vietnam defeats Myanmar 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-19).
