The next three slots will go to the highest-ranked teams at the 2027 Women's Volleyball World Cup that have not yet qualified. The final three spots will be awarded to the highest-ranked teams on the FIVB world ranking after the 2028 VNL preliminary round. In total, 12 teams will compete in the 2028 Olympics. This means nine spots remain undecided.

Assessing Jesus' goal-scoring potential in La Liga, Aguero said: "In the Premier League, scoring goals is really tough, very complicated. I think he can easily net 10 or 15 goals each season."
The former Argentina striker noted that Jesus had a clear role while playing under Pep Guardiola, and he believes La Liga could help him showcase his goal-scoring ability better after a difficult spell at Arsenal.

Medical experts say this condition is relatively common among athletes and does not threaten his professional career. McTominay joined Napoli from Manchester United for £25 million in 2024 and quickly became a key player, helping the team win the Serie A title. He has made 82 appearances and scored 27 goals for Napoli. The absence of McTominay is a significant loss as Napoli is about to face Inter, Arsenal, Bologna, and Fiorentina.
Manchester United is planning a major defensive overhaul in the summer of 2027, after using the 2026–2027 season to evaluate their current defenders. According to CaughtOffside citing The Sun, the club could sign up to three new defenders. Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, and Matthijs de Ligt all need to prove themselves to keep their places, with Shaw's contract expiring at the end of the season. In contrast, Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven are considered safe options and part of the long-term plan.

On the flanks, Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui are also being evaluated. Manchester United may revive their interest in Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall after failing to sign him in the recent transfer window. Performance, fitness, and consistency this season will heavily influence the club's decisions.
Renato Sanches has become a free agent at the age of 29 after Paris Saint-Germain terminated his contract, even though the original deal still had one year left. The Portuguese midfielder was once considered one of Europe's top talents after shining at Euro 2016 and winning the Golden Boy award that same year. Bayern Munich then spent around €35 million to buy him from Benfica, but Sanches failed to establish himself at the German club.

After a loan spell at Swansea City, he joined Lille for €20 million in 2019. In 2022, Sanches moved to PSG but again struggled to find a place, making only 27 appearances. PSG then loaned him to Roma, Benfica, and Panathinaikos, but none of them made the move permanent. Union Berlin has been mentioned as a potential next destination.
Xuan Son and Hoang Hen have sent heartfelt wishes on National Day (September 2), just days after winning the 2026 AFF Cup with the Vietnam national team.
